Oak Honey

From the oak tree forests of Thessaly, Greece

Description
APHRODITE Oak Honey is produced from the honeydew – the sticky substance that can be found on the leaves of an oak tree. It is collected from the oak forests of Thessaly, during the summer months. Oak honey is the richest variety in antioxidants amongst every other variety in the world. Its high content of nutrients makes it particularly effective for maintaining good physical and mental health.

Texture – Aroma
The APHRODITE Oak Honey has a distinctive dark colour, which is why it is also known as “black honey”. It has a rich and stimulating smell, combining woody and earthy tones. Its dense texture makes this variety quite difficult to crystallise. Crystallisation is a natural property of pure and unprocessed honey. To restore it to its original state, simply place the jar in a container of warm water.
Taste
The APHRODITE Oak Honey has an intense, rich and pleasant caramel taste of low sweetness. Its multidimensional and full-bodied taste offers a unique culinary experience.
Culinary
The intense taste of APHRODITE Oak Honey matches well with yoghurt and nuts. It also accompanies smoked and aged cheese and can be used to elevate the dressing in your salad.
